#2. Acts 2: 5-12 (Streets)5 And there were dwelling in Jerusalem Jews, devout men, from every nation under heaven. 6 And when this sound occurred, the multitude came together, and were confused, because everyone heard them speak in his own language. 7 Then they were all amazed and marveled, saying to one another, “Look, are not all these who speak Galileans? 8 And how is it that we hear, each in our own language in which we were born? 9 Parthians and Medes and Elamites, those dwelling in Mesopotamia, Judea and Cappadocia, Pontus and Asia, 10 Phrygia and Pamphylia, Egypt and the parts of Libya adjoining Cyrene, visitors from Rome, both Jews and proselytes, 11 Cretans and Arabs—we hear them speaking in our own tongues the wonderful works of God.” 12 So they were all amazed and perplexed, saying to one another, “Whatever could this mean?”> Fire, spoke in tongues (human language)⭐ People on the streets who came out to see what was happening. For His life is taken from the earth.” 34 So the eunuch answered Philip and said, “I ask you, of whom does the prophet say this, of himself or of some other man?” 35 Then Philip opened his mouth, and beginning at this Scripture, preached Jesus to him. 36 Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, “See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized?”37 Then Philip said, “If you believe with all your heart, you may.” And he answered and said, “I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” 38 So he commanded the chariot to stand still. And both Philip and the eunuch went down into the water, and he baptized him. 39 Now when they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught Philip away, so that the eunuch saw him no more; and he went on his way rejoicing. 40 But Philip was found at Azotus. What do these verses teach?⭐ IT WAS ABOUT WHAT THEY RECEIVED AND NEVER ABOUT HOW! I. Not everyone’s experience is the same!Don’t worry about what others say has to happen to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
II. Don’t criticise the testimony of others. Believe in all the gifts and what the Bible teaches us.
III. We need to receive the Holy Spirit that Jesus told us about!!!
⭐ It’s not about what we can learn from preachers, each other, books, etc. It’s about what God teaches us !
⭐ We can only have the power through God to change our heart, soul, mind and life.
⭐ We need to seek, ask, knock, until we are filled with this power and know Him.
