❓How does the Holy Spirit use you in life❓ ❓What gift have you received from the Holy Spirit?❓ Not talent - or natural gift 💥 It doesn’t mean we are necessarily out there being bad people or not trying to do good. It means we either don’t have or we neglect to use the power that the Holy Spirit brings to change our heart and transform our mind and spirit daily into becoming more and more Christlike.
➡️💥 These verses definitely teach us that we can have the real thing and be persuaded by darkness not to use it.How?
⭐1. What the church is most guilty of : NOT TEACHING PEOPLE WHAT JESUS SAID ABOUT THE HOLY SPIRIT. Neglecting to teach about the Holy Spirit!Acts 19: 1- 7) And it happened, while Apollos was at Corinth, that Paul, having passed through the upper regions, came to Ephesus. And finding some disciples 2 he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” So they said to him, “We have not so much as heard whether there is a Holy Spirit.” 3 And he said to them, “Into what then were you baptized?” So they said, “Into John’s baptism.” 4 Then Paul said, “John indeed baptized with a baptism of repentance, saying to the people that they should believe on Him who would come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus.” 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid hands on them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied. 7 Now the men were about twelve in all.
➣ Spirit filled Pricialla and Aquila taught him and gave him a better understanding of the way of God. ***👉) The Holy Spirit does not come to you because you are perfect, but because you need Him”***)
👉John 14:24) But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you.
⭐2. Not walking in the Spirit. Galatians 5:16-18) 16 I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusts against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; and these are contrary to one another, so that you do not do the things that you wish. 18 But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. ➣ You can have the Spirit, but not allow Him to lead your life.1. Not letting Him teach you from the Scripture what you need to know about your life. (Your own sins and shortcomings.)2. Not letting Him guide your daily life. (Not just the law (doing good) but the spiritual things He shows you to do.)3. Not being transformed! Dying to self! This is where we get the power to be His sons and daughters. ***👉) Instead of using the excuse “I’m only human” to walk in the flesh, we should try using the excuse, “I’m saved” as a reason to walk in the Spirit”.***)
👉Romans 8:14) For all who are led by the Spirit of God are sons of God.
⭐3. Neglecting or not using the gifts He gives us! 1 Timothy 4:12-16 12 Let no one despise your youth, but be an example to the believers in word, in conduct, in love, in spirit, in faith, in purity. 13 Till I come, give attention to reading, to exhortation, to doctrine. 14 Do not neglect the gift that is in you, which was given to you by prophecy with the laying on of the hands of the eldership. 15 Meditate on these things; give yourself entirely to them, that your progress may be evident to all. 16 Take heed to yourself and to the doctrine. Continue in them, for in doing this you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
👉John 16:13) When the Spirit of truth comes, he will guide you into all the truth, for he will not speak on his own authority, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will declare to you the things that are to come.
⭐4. Grieving the Holy Spirit. Ephesians 4:25-32) 25 Therefore, putting away lying, “Let each one of you speak truth with his neighbor,” for we are members of one another. 26 “Be angry, and do not sin”: do not let the sun go down on your wrath, 27 nor give place to the devil. 28 Let him who stole steal no longer, but rather let him labor, working with his hands what is good, that he may have something to give him who has need. 29 Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking be put away from you, with all malice. 32 And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you.
“But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.” – John 14:26
